	Safari Island Community Center Expect heart-pounding excitement and thrill-packed discoveries on your expedition through Safari Island. Waconia's Community is celebrating its first birthday this year. It's centerpiece is a large aquatic center with an eight lane Olympic size pool and a leisure pool with a two story water slide, water play fountains and zero-depth water entry. Carver County Fair August 6-10, 2008- Waconia hosts one of Minnesota's top county fairs, drawing about 75,000 people each year. The Carver County Fair boasts large livestock and open class exhibits; along with 4-H, FFA and educational displays.Grandstand events include tractor and truck pulls and a demolition derby.
